Distal Versus Proximal Radial Artery Access for Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention: Design and Rationale of the DIPRA Trial

Dr. Al Azizi – Baylor Scott & White – The Heart Hospital Plano
Summary - The DIPRA study is the first randomized controlled study comparing conventional proximal radial artery access to distal radial artery access in the anatomical snuffbox of the hand, by evaluating its safety through hand function assessment at 30 days and one year. The results of the 30 days data were presented as a late breaking trial at the SCAI 2022 late breaking session.
