EVERY YEAR, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN END UP IN U-S EMERGENCY ROOMS AFTER ACCIDENTS ON THEIR BICYCLES.

{**TAKE VO**}
THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW TO WEAR A HELMET PROPERLY.
ACCORDING TO ONE E-R DOCTOR … KIDS OFTEN COME IN WITH INJURIES TO THEIR STOMACH AFTER HITTING THEIR HANDLEBARS. BUT THE MOST FREQUENT INJURIES ARE CONCUSSIONS, CUTS AND SCRAPES TO THE HEAD.
THAT'S WHY HE SAYS … KIDS ALWAYS NEED A HELMET.

"Many of these accidents happen in the driveway of the homes. So, just because you're
not going far, you need to always, always always make sure your child has a helmet on,
no matter what."

DOCTOR MOORE ALSO SAYS PARENTS NEED TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE … BY WEARING THEIR HELMETS AS WELL.
