Hania Wehbe-Janek, Ph.D., has been appointed to the board of directors for the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers (AIAMC), a national membership organization of major academic medical centers and health systems committed to quality patient care, medical education and research. Dr. Wehbe-Janek will serve a two-year term that commenced April 1.

Dr. Wehbe-Janek has been an active member of the AIAMC for five years, most recently serving as vice chairman for National Initiative V: Improving Community Health and Health Equity through Medical Education.
At Baylor Scott & White Health, Dr. Wehbe-Janek is vice president of academic research and development, overseeing system research education programs and activities.
