TEMPLE, Texas – Baylor Scott & White Health Plan has received two 2024 Human Experience (HX) Pinnacle of Excellence awards from Press Ganey, a healthcare survey platform that evaluates patient experience and ranks the top health plans, hospitals and health systems across the U.S. With these awards, Baylor Scott & White Health Plan ranks among the top 5% of health plans nationwide.
Press Ganey determines winners using the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS), a survey that asks members to share how they feel about their experiences with healthcare providers in their health plan's network. Members rate a variety of experiences including access to care, customer service and the care received.
Based on CAHPS survey ratings, Baylor Scott & White Health Plan earned HX Pinnacle of Excellence awards in the following categories:
- Highest Doctors and Quality of Care CAHPS Ratings, awarded to Baylor Scott & White Health Plan's Marketplace plans
- Highest Physician Care CAHPS Ratings, awarded to Baylor Scott & White Health Plan's Small and Large Group Commercial HMO plans
"Achieving Highest Doctors and Quality of Care and Highest Physician Care would not be possible without a sharp vision from the organization that focuses on the individual," said Liz Lopez Cepero, senior vice president and chief growth officer at Baylor Scott & White Health Plan. "A supportive work environment fortifies our employees' efforts to empower our members to live well."
"By excelling in areas such as access to care and care coordination, Baylor Scott & White Health Plan has set a high standard for enabling patient-centered, high-quality care," said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO and chairman of Press Ganey. "This award recognizes its dedication to understanding and addressing member needs, ensuring a seamless and positive healthcare experience."
