Baylor Scott & White Health opened a primary care clinic today in Navasota, which is the healthcare system's first location in Grimes County. Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Navasota, at 8264 State Highway 6, Navasota, TX, 77868, will offer area residents high-quality, convenient and coordinated family medical care.
"Today is an exciting day as we expand our footprint to Navasota," said Linda Clark, vice president of clinic operations, Baylor Scott & White – College Station Region. "We're thrilled to be providing this growing community with integrated and individualized healthcare."
Baylor Scott & White built the clinic after extensive research on how best to serve the area. The clinic, approximately 5,000 square feet, features nine exam rooms and one treatment room.
"I look forward to returning to Navasota and working with families to maintain healthy and active lifestyles," said Jaime Benton, MD, family medicine physician, Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Navasota. Dr. Benton who lived and practiced in Navasota from 2005 to 2015.
Through its network of clinics and hospitals, Baylor Scott & White provides greater care coordination through a single electronic medical record allowing medical teams to collaborate. This integrated approach to care helps improve the patient experience and prevent unnecessary medical tests and aims to reduce the time a patient spends in the hospital.
Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Navasota will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The clinic joins more than 10 Baylor Scott & White facilities spanning Brazos, Washington, Austin and now Grimes counties to provide care for Central Texans.
