Baylor Scott & White Health recently added online check-in at its four primary care clinics in Tom Thumb stores throughout North Texas. Online check-in allows patients to choose a convenient time to be seen and wait at home or the office instead of in the waiting room.
Patients can schedule appointments online or by calling (469) 800-8810. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinics treat conditions such as strep throat, fever, earaches, cold and flu symptoms, and offer school and sports physicals and flu shots.
The clinics are operated by the health care system's affiliate, HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN), a multispecialty medical group that employs more than 1,300 providers in North Texas.
Baylor Scott & White Convenient Care Clinics offer services including treating minor illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management, immunizations, physicals and health screenings. In addition, any patient who receives care at the clinics will be connected to the network of primary care and specialty care physicians via Baylor Scott & White's electronic health record system.
A first of its kind offering by the largest not-for-profit health care system in the state, Baylor Scott & White Convenient Care Clinics were developed to serve more communities in primary care clinics located in areas where North Texans are living and working. Baylor Scott & White announced the opening of these clinics in March 2017.
