Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation has announced that it has changed its name to Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation effective Feb. 1, 2018. This change reflects the goal of Baylor Scott & White leadership to create continuity throughout the Baylor Scott & White Health system for patients, physicians and the community, as well as to solidify its brand.
"This name change represents our long–standing relationship and strong bond with Baylor Scott & White Health," says Fabian Polo, president of Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation. "It signals to patients, referral sources and the community that we continue to be an integral part of the Baylor Scott & White Health network."
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation operates three standalone inpatient hospitals, two inpatient rehabilitation units, 66 outpatient therapy clinics and a home health division. Its flagship hospital, Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Dallas, is a 92-bed rehabilitation hospital, and has been designated by the National Institute for Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) as a model system for the treatment and care of patients with traumatic brain injuries.
