New Parking Garage Opens at Baylor Grapevine

Rooftop heliport provides patients with quicker access to care

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine is excited to announce today that the 864-space parking garage (conveniently located near the frontage road of 114 West) is now open for use. The six-level parking garage, designed to serve the growing needs of the community, marks a new milestone in the hospital's strategic expansion and development plan.

"The opening of the parking garage will help serve the growing needs of a rapidly growing community," said Doug Lawson, Baylor Grapevine president. "These additional parking spaces will help provide patients, visitors and employees with more convenient access to the hospital when they need it most."

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking has been designated on Level 1 and patients and visitors will receive priority parking on Levels 2-4. There will also be an increase in the number of spaces across campus. "Parking designations have been restructured to make the best parking spaces available for patients and their families," said Lawson. "We will also continue to provide our free valet parking service."

Due to the facility's strategic location and accessibility to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, the parking garage is equipped with one of the regions highest rated heliports. While not routinely done, the heliport is capable of landing large air ambulances and Blackhawk helicopters if necessary.

"The heliport also provides elevator access to the emergency department which means faster and more direct access to care for our patients," said Lawson.
