U.S. News & World Report Recognizes Baylor Scott & White Health Hospitals for Quality and Patient Satisfaction

Annual “Best Hospitals” list includes 26 Baylor Scott & White facilities; Four nationally ranked for specialty care, more than any other health system in Texas

DALLAS, TEMPLE, and FORT WORTH Texas – Today, U.S. News & World Report has ranked the medical care at Baylor Scott & White Health among the best in the nation.

For the sixth consecutive year, Baylor Scott & White Health has more hospitals named to the U.S. News annual list of “Best Hospitals” than any other not-for-profit health system in Texas. A total of 26 Baylor Scott & White hospitals were recognized, including four facilities with a nationally ranked specialty and four named among the best in the state.

This year, all three of the system’s academic medical centers ranked in the top fifteen hospitals in Texas.

  • Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas ranked #2 in Dallas-Fort Worth and #3 in Texas
  • Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple ranked #7 in Texas
  • Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth ranked #3 in Dallas-Fort Worth and #11 (tie) in Texas.

Additionally, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine was ranked #8 (tie) in the Dallas-Fort Worth region and #23 (tie) in Texas.

Six Hospitals Recognized Among the Nation’s ‘Best’ for Specialty Care

For the second year in a row, Baylor Scott & White had more “Best” hospitals recognized in the Specialty Rankings than any other system in Texas. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.

In all, 6 hospitals were nationally ranked or named High Performing in 10 different specialties.

Baylor Scott & White had twenty-five hospitals that received a "High Performing" rating in at least one of the 20 common procedures and conditions evaluated this year — the highest distinction a hospital can earn.
