When it comes to detecting breast cancer early, regular mammograms are key. And diagnosing the disease early means you'll increase your odds of beating the disease. When it's found at the earliest stages, 98 percent of women will survive another five years, and many will survive—and thrive—for much longer.
Start your year off right by getting your annual mammogram. Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano makes it easy for women to fit this life saving screening in their busy schedules by offering Saturday mammography services at two convenient locations.
Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Craig Ranch, an outpatient department of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano, will offer Saturday Mammography Services on Saturday, February 5 and 19 with appointments beginning at 8 a.m. Clinicians on the Baylor Plano medical staff encourage women to be diligent in sticking to a routine of breast self-exam, clinical examination by a physician and mammography. The Clinics will be held at the Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Craig Ranch in McKinney, 8080 State Highway 121, Suite 201 A.
In addition, Saturday services will also be offered at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano Women's Imaging Center on Saturdays, February 12 and 26. The Women's Imaging Center is located in Medical Pavilion II, 4708 Alliance Blvd, Ste 100, on the Baylor Plano campus. Appointments at both facilities can be made by calling 469.814.5500.
Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Craig Ranch offers full service, digital imaging and diagnostic services, including dual-head molecular breast imaging, mammography, ultrasound, bone density, MRI, CT, and diagnostic radiology. The new facility is one of a few in the world and the only facility in Texas to offer dual-head molecular breast imaging, which offers benefits over digital mammography, including definitively visualizing tumors less than 2 cm. in size, from two camera angles.
Through the Baylor Plano Women's services department, women have access to a registered nurse to help patients navigate their way through the sea of services and resources available at Baylor Plano. The certified patient care nurse navigator assists patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis with physician referrals, follow-up care, recovery services, education and connection to various programs, support groups and services throughout the hospital. Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano is proud to offer a new and free breast health program to women throughout the community. The MammaCare® Breast Self Exam Class is designed to help women build confidence and skill in breast self examination.
In addition, Baylor Plano will offer the following events in the upcoming weeks.
