The kidney/pancreas transplant program at Scott & White Memorial Hospital performed a kidney transplant on its 500th patient on Friday, October 18.

Media are invited to attend a press conference on Wednesday, November 6 at 10 a.m. to meet the 500th transplant recipient, the family of the donor, and the transplant medical team to discuss the events leading up to the procedure, the background of the program leading up to this milestone, and the ongoing need for organ donation. Doctors will be available for interviews and to answer questions following the event.
