“I’m excited to lead during such an interesting and challenging time in our industry,” says Brock. “We are well positioned to change the way health care is delivered and serve as a model for the rest of the country to follow. I’m proud to be a part of it.”

As president and COO, Brock will continue to provide critical operational strategy and oversight for the entire Baylor Scott & White North Texas operation. “Gary is an expert strategist with in-depth knowledge of our organization and the health care industry as a whole,” says Allison. “His vision and drive will not only continue to serve our organization well, but most importantly will benefit our patients and communities. Over the past 20-plus years, Gary has become one of the most respected health care leaders not only in this area, but in the country.”

A graduate of the Masters of Public Health program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Brock moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1985, when he took the role of chief operating officer of Memorial Hospital of Garland.
