Recognition tied to celebration of National Rural Health Day

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Llano has been recognized for "Excellence in Outcome and Patient Satisfaction" by the Texas State Office of Rural Health (SORH), a division of the Texas Department of Agriculture.

"It's an honor and a privilege to serve the needs of this community, in addition to being recognized for our excellence in outcome and patient satisfaction," said Dr. Paul Cook, M.D. chief medical officer of the Hill Country Region for Baylor Scott & White Health. "This recognition reflects the commitment by every member of the health care team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Llano to deliver unparalleled levels of personalized care."

The honor was announced in anticipation of National Rural Health Day on Nov. 16, which celebrates the remarkable accomplishments that have been achieved in rural healthcare over the past year. In conjunction with National Rural Health Day, SORH, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health and iVantage Health Analytics identified hospitals that have excelled in performance and patient care and rated them on a Hospital Strength Index in quality, outcomes and patient satisfaction.

"Positive outcomes and patient satisfaction are of the utmost importance to a medical facility," said Tim Ols, president, Baylor Scott & White Hill Country Region. "Our endeavor is to continue to meet the needs of communities we serve with quality care and service."
