Baylor Scott & White Holdings Board of Trustees Names Four New Trustees

DALLAS and TEMPLE, Texas – Baylor Scott & White Health announced today the addition of four new members to the Baylor Scott & White Holdings Board of Trustees. They join the board at a time of great transformation in the healthcare industry and will provide guidance and oversight to the System as it continues to lead the industry.

"As we focus on tackling the challenges and opportunities in healthcare, our board will benefit by the unique perspectives and experiences in business, technology and governance these four new trustees bring," said Ross McKnight, chairman of Baylor Scott & White Holdings Board of Trustees. "Their passion, vision and expertise will energize our efforts to change healthcare for the better."

The new trustees, all based in Texas, include Robert Garriott, Rafael Garza, Johnita Jones and Charlene Lake.

Robert Garriott is an entrepreneur and investor known for deep expertise in computer gaming and developing international markets. A co-founder of ORIGIN Systems, Inc., he oversaw its sale to Electronic Arts, where he later served in multiple roles. A former co- honoree of Inc. Magazine and E&Y Consulting's "Entrepreneur of the Year," his recent focus has been on innovative game designs and business modeling. Garriott graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in management. He also holds a degree in electrical engineering from Rice University and a master's degree in engineering economic systems from Stanford University.

Rafael Garza is a founder and managing director of Bravo Equity Partners, a Fort Worth- based private equity firm focused on companies in the United States and Mexico. He represents Bravo as director or principal in several portfolio companies. He also serve son the boards of VBT Financial Corp., Vantage Bank Texas and Atmos Energy Corp.. Garza's community commitment includes serving on the boards of trustees of Texas Christian University, the Fort Worth Art Association (Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth) and the Fort Worth Art Association Endowment Foundation. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting degree from Texas Christian University.

Johnita Jones is vice president and southern operations manager for ExxonMobil Pipeline Co. She oversees pipeline and terminal operations in the southern U.S. and has responsibility for more than 500 employees. Jones' strong commitment to serving the community is reflected in her role as president of the board of directors for the Texas Conference for Women, participation on the Houston Children's Museum advisory board and as a member of the board of directors of the Lighthouse of Houston. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Charlene Lake is chief sustainability officer and senior vice president for corporate responsibility at AT&T, Inc. In her role, she leads the company's social innovation, environmental, philanthropic and community impact endeavors, as well as other signature initiatives. Lake brings significant expertise through governance roles with the National Public Affairs Council and the National Urban League, and a history of advisory roles in organizations such as America's Promise Alliance, and the Institute of Economic Empowerment for Women. Active in the community, she is vice chair of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Lake is a mass communication graduate of Kansas State University.
