Baylor Scott & White – Hillcrest’s President Receives National Award

WACO, Texas –  Glenn Robinson, president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest, has been honored by the American Hospital Association with the Grassroots Champion Award for his leadership in grassroots efforts and community engagement for Texas hospitals. Robinson is the chair of the Texas Hospital Association's Council on Policy Development, and he serves as a member of the THA board of trustees. The award was presented at the national association's annual meeting this past May in Washington, D.C.

"This is a special award because it is truly about the team of health care leaders I am honored to work with each day," said Robinson, "It is such a blessing to work alongside the extraordinary caregivers and talented health care professionals we have right here in Waco and within our Baylor Scott & White Health System. We want to foster compassionate healing for the ill and injured, at the same time we want to see our central Texas communities healthier and stronger for the future."

Robinson earned the award with work that included engaging local chambers of commerce, business, and civic groups on key health care issues. At the state level, he regularly testifies before the Texas Legislature.

"Glenn is richly deserving of this AHA award," said Ted Shaw, president and CEO of the THA.  "He is a fervent advocate of the mission we all share of serving patients with compassion and providing the highest quality care. Glenn is a shining example of leadership on behalf of our industry and patients."
