Baylor Scott & White Health today opened its new primary care clinic in Manor, a town about 15 miles northeast of Austin.
"As we open our doors today, we are excited to share our integrated and individualized approach to care with this growing community," said Colleen Sundquist, regional vice president, Baylor Scott & White – Austin/Round Rock region.
The clinic was built by the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas after extensive research to evaluate how to best serve the community. It is 10 miles from the future location of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Pflugerville, scheduled to open in mid-2018.
Karen Smith, MD, a family medicine physician at the new clinic, said, "As a former teacher, I enjoy educating patients and taking care of families. I love living in Manor and volunteering, and I am so happy to serve in this awesome community."
