TEMPLE, Texas – Baylor Scott & White Health and Select Medical today announce an expansion of their long-standing joint venture with the operation of a 45‑bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Temple.
The hospital, located at 725 Marlandwood Rd. in Temple, will welcome its first patients on January 6, 2026, and will operate under the Baylor Scott & White name in the future.
Designed to support patients recovering from conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other complex medical needs, the hospital will offer coordinated, high‑quality rehabilitative care close to home for Central Texas patients and families.

The Temple rehabilitation hospital becomes the newest facility within the Baylor Scott & White and Select Medical joint venture, which was formed in 2011. It includes more than 117 outpatient clinics, home health rehabilitation services, and five inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across Texas. The inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Dallas operated by the joint venture, Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Dallas, was ranked in 2025 by U.S. News & World Report as performing among the top 10 in the U.S. for rehabilitation hospitals.
This new inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Temple underscores both organizations' continued investment in expanding and elevating post‑acute care to meet the region's evolving needs.
