The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation to Baylor Scott & White Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center - McKinney. The hospital was awarded the accreditation for receiving recognition in five accreditation areas: Program Management, Clinical Services, Continuum of Care Services, Patient Outcomes, and Quality. The Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program was established by the American College of Surgeons in 1922 to support quality, comprehensive cancer care, through the compliance of participating facilities with standards for care.

A facility receives a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation following the inspection by a physician surveyor. The facility must demonstrate a commendation level of performance with no deficiencies.
Accreditation by the CoC means that Baylor Scott & White - McKinney is capable of providing:
- Comprehensive cancer care, including a complete range of innovative services and equipment;
- A multidisciplinary team that provides advanced treatment options; and
- Prevention and early detection programs, and more.
