Baylor Plano Announces New President Of Medical Staff

Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano is proud to announce John Marcucci, MD, emergency medicine physician and medical director of the Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano emergency department, as president of the medical staff.  Dr. Marcucci follows Dennis Gable, MD, vascular surgeon, who served as president in 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Marcucci received his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and completed an emergency medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Texas College of Emergency Physicians.  In addition to his role as president-elect of the medical staff, Dr. Marcucci also serves as the medical director of the Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano emergency department and as a member of the hospital peer review committee.

In addition, Carl Ciborowski, MD, internal medicine, has been named president-elect of the Baylor Plano Regional Medical Center at Plano medical staff. Dr. Ciborowski graduated from Texas A&M University and received his medical degree at University of Texas at Houston Medical School and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Texas Southwestern. He is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and serves as medical director of the Plano inpatient care unit at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano. Dr. Ciborowski has served on a variety of committees at both Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano, including chairman of the policy and quality committee at THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano and member of the medical executive committee at both Baylor Plano and THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano.
