DALLAS, TX – Baylor Scott & White Health is proud to announce that four employees were recognized at the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation's 22nd Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon on April 25. The event honored 135 nominees and 16 winners from among 56 area hospitals. The honored Baylor Scott & White employees were:
- Physician of the Year Award - Abeezar Shipchandler, MD, HealthTexas Provider Network
- Employee of the Year Award - James Sullivan, RN, nurse supervisor, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton
- Community Service Award - Lea Goad, recreational therapist, Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Dallas
- Special Recognition Award - Ardell Taylor, RN, care manager, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano

Scott Peek, chief operating officer and interim president of Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, and chair of the DFWHC served as master of ceremony, helping to recognize his colleagues for their dedication.

Baylor Scott & White had 36 nominees. Board members of the Dallas-Fort Worth Healthcare Human Resource Association select the winners based on the nominees' profiles without knowing the names or hospital affiliations.
