STATEMENTS: Quintuplets Born at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas on Tuesday, March 18

A statement from Steven and Michelle Seals of Maud, Texas:

"We are so blessed to have welcomed five new members of our family into the world Tuesday afternoon – four girls and one boy – Mia, Tessa, Gracie, Rayleigh and Brant.  They are all healthy and doing well.  We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support."

A statement from Baylor Scott & White Health – Baylor University Medical Center:

The Seals quintuplets are the first quintuplets ever born at Baylor University Medical Center in its 110+ year history.  Nearly two dozen physicians and nursing staff took part in the delivery and care of the babies that were born Tuesday afternoon just before 3 pm.  All five infants are currently being monitored in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit.

Below are the babies' names and the order in which they were born:

Mia Seals (girl)
Weight: 2 pounds, 10 ounces

Tessa Seals(girl)
Weight: 2 pounds, 14 ounces

Brant Seals (boy)
Weight: 3 pounds, 6 ounces

Gracie Seals (girl)
Weight: 2 pounds, 7 ounces

Rayleigh Seals (girl)
Weight: 2 pounds, 8 ounces
