Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock Recognized as 2017 Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals® Award Winner
Facility earns national award based on five-year study of health care costs and quality
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock is a recipient of a 2017 Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals® award. Published by Truven Health Analytics®, part of the IBM Watson Health™ business on March 6, the study reported notable improvements for U.S. hospitals on quality measures between 2011 and 2015.
Truven recognized hospitals for outstanding performance in safeguarding patients from medical errors, improving outcomes, providing evidence-based treatment and delivering care at a reasonable cost. Hospitals that are awarded are split into five categories: Major Teaching Hospitals, Teaching Hospitals, Large Community Hospitals, Medium Community Hospitals and Small Community Hospitals.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock was one of six Texas hospitals awarded on the list, and one of two Texas hospitals in its category, Medium Community Hospitals.
Baylor Scott & White Health has served Travis and Williamson counties for more than 10 years.

Jean Chenoweth, Truven Health Analytics senior vice president, said the level of 2011—2015 improvement exceeded the previous five-year periods studied by her organization. She also said the trajectory of performance indicates hospital quality improvement likely will continue.
The accolade for Baylor Scott & White– Round Rock follows an August 2016 recognition by the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals" 2016-2017 list for the location's outstanding heart failure care.
The 2017 100 Top Hospitals will be recognized at the 100 Top Hospitals Summit June 7-9 at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne in Miami, Fla.
