The accreditation from American Nurses Credentialing Center is highest honor for nursing profession

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine announces its Magnet® re-accreditation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. The medical center received notification Monday, Jan. 23.

"Magnet designation is one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can achieve. For our patients, this designation means that their care is provided by a nursing staff that ranks in the top 7 percent of hospitals in the country,” said Eric Wallis, RN, BSN, MSA, NE-BC, FACHE, chief nursing officer/chief operating officer, Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine.

"While there is a lot of focus on the amazing nurses in this organization, this award is not possible without the entire team,” Wallis continued. "In addition to earning this elite designation, we earned an Exemplar by outperforming all six subscales for nurse satisfaction.”

About 200 hospital staff members and board members gathered at Baylor Scott & White - Grapevine for the phone call from the Commission of Magnet® Recognition. They received the call from Nurse Executive Jeanette Ives-Erickson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, who announced they unanimously voted to re-accredit the hospital as a Magnet® organization.
