Baylor Scott & White Health Named to ‘Best Places to Interview’ List

Largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas only company in state to be included; one of four health systems in U.S. to be recognized

Baylor Scott & White Health has been named to the top 100 "2017 Best Places to Interview" list, a user-nominated list compiled by job site Glassdoor. The largest not-for-profit health care system was the sole representative from Texas included on the list, and one of only four health systems nationwide to be recognized.

"Recognition like this – unsolicited feedback from people who have interviewed for positions within our system – speaks to the dedication we have in seeking the best talent to serve our patients," said John Lacy, Chief Human Resources Officer, Baylor Scott & White. "The hiring managers and HR personnel who provide the training and tools necessary to recruit, interview and select our talent are to be commended for advancing our mission by hiring our people in the most ethical way possible."

Companies included on the Best Places to Interview list were determined based on anonymous job candidate feedback shared on Glassdoor over the past year. When providing a review, candidates were asked to rate several factors tied to the interview process, including difficulty, length of process and the overall experience. From there, Glassdoor applied a proprietary algorithm, which takes into account an employer's overall interview experience rating, to determine the Best Places to Interview list.

The 2017 list took into account reviews posted from July 2, 2016, to July 1, 2017, and features employers across a range of industries, including healthcare, business services, technology, retail, aerospace and more. Glassdoor tracks feedback for more than 700,000 companies in 190 countries.

In April, Baylor Scott & White received national recognition as one of the Best Workplaces in Health Care by Great Place to Work and Fortune. Best Workplaces in Health Care rankings are based on feedback from nearly 88,000 employees at Great Place to Work–Certified™ organizations in health care, including the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Great Place to Work produces the annual Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For®" list. Baylor Scott & White Health also received a great workplace certification from Great Place to Work.
