CW33: Advances in Scoliosis Testing

New tests used to detect scoliosis are allowing doctors to better predict how much the patient’s spine will curve and customize treatment plans. The Baylor Scoliosis Center in Plano is using a new genetic test called “Scoliscore” to predict how a patient’s scoliosis will progress and how aggressively it needs to be treated. Richard Hostin, M.D., with the Baylor Scoliosis Center commented on the test and the benefits of using it with patients on a new story on The CW, Channel 33.
